We always need loving foster homes for our dogs.  If you aren’t ready to make the commitment to adopt a pet for life, please consider fostering a rescue dog.  Fostering gets the dog out of boarding into a less stressful home environment where we can learn more about him or her.  The money we save on boarding helps save even more dogs.  As a foster we count on you to feed, walk, play with, love and care for the dog just as you would your own pet. while we remain financially responsible for the dog until a permanent home is found.  When fostering, you can be involved in the screening process of potential adopters if you like, or you may choose to adopt the dog permanently yourself after a trial period.  And when the dog goes off to a new home. you may shed a tear as you say good-bye to the dog who has slept in your house.  But your heart will be full knowing that you played a huge part in this dog’s journey to their wonderful new life.  Email ThumpingTails@aol.com if you would like to be a foster for one of our homeless dogs.

A contractor went to work at an abandoned building and was shocked to find Camilla.  She was obviously old, chained up, weak, with nails so long she couldn’t walk.  He carried her to his car and asked for our help.  We discovered that Camilla was in kidney failure but we covered all her medical bills and we found her a foster home where she was happy, comfortable and loved.  She spent her days lounging in the sun on the back deck or laying at the husband’s feet while he worked on his computer.  Thanks to this foster family and donations from caring animal lovers, Camilla finally had a place to call home.
