UPDATE: Lana the deceivingly-petite long-legged blonde beauty is a hilarious diva with a huge personality in a 9 pound body! Her hair is soft as silk and requires no grooming. She is young and active but more than anything looooooves to snuggle. She loves to play but is very very mellow in the house. She's great with all people and is very loving and low-maintenance. She is a snuggler; if you sit down with a good book or your iPad, expect Lana to jump into your lap. Lana is about 2 years old. She was found as a stray although she was clearly someone's pet because she was in good condition and well-trained, but her owner never claimed her at the shelter and she was about to be euthanized so we rescued her. Her left eye was injured before we got her and she went to a top eye specialist for a thorough check-up; we were afraid she was going to lose the eye but she's fine; it was an old wound that was never treated so she has lost her vision in that eye but she is not in pain and shows absolutely no symptoms. In fact she flies through the air like an Olympic gymnast and can sprint through the yard like a speed demon! She would have a ball at the dog park or in day care. She is an incredibly happy, joyful, affectionate dog who loves to give kisses and dances standing up on her back legs for treats!
Lana is a 2 year old schipperke (we think pure) who weighs just 9 pounds. She's small, slim, very graceful and athletic, a surprisingly good jumper, with long graceful legs. She's speedy and spry, happy and cuddly. Lana loves to run around the backyard and play with the other dogs in her foster home (from 16 to 160 pounds!) and seems fine with the cats she met at the vet’s office. She will bark to warn you if someone comes too close to the window or front door. She is thrilled to go for car rides and is good on the leash too, and goes into her crate for meals or when left alone very happily. Lana is very friendly but above all she is a snuggler. Lana needs a secure yard. She is super smart, very clever and sweet. She is safe and happy in her foster home but is definitely ready to be someone’s forever pet. She is a fantastic dog ready for a forever home!
