IF YOUR DOG GETS LOST tell everyone you know immediately - including the organization where you got the dog.  They can help look for the dog, put out alerts, send emails to a vast rescue network, check the shelters and contact the microchip company.  Above all, get out there to search for your pet.  Keep looking.  The dog could be hiding nearby, too afraid to come out.  Sometimes dogs wait until it’s quiet to come out, so look late at night or very early morning.  Always have a current picture of your dog.  Hang flyers all over the area where the dog was lost.  Write “reward” in case any unsavory types have the dog.  Put a phone number on the flyer where you know someone will answer.  Check the shelters and animal hospitals every day.  AND DON’T GIVE UP.
